When I was a kid Christmas tree was such a big deal for me. I could still remember when me and my elder sister make a fake snow Christmas tree one day. What is the significant of having a Christmas tree during Christmas? Accordingly this famous Christmas tree originated from Germany by the name of Martin Luther. He was inspired of the stars above and expressed his appreciation to his family by bringing a fir tree. He started lighting each branches with candles. Fir means fire that represent good spirit.
As we notice our Christmas tree is colored green and this signifies LIFE.. Its the life force through the whole round year. There are also balls hanging with different colors and this represent the planets. The shinning stars at the top of the tree reminds us the sacred place Bethlehem where Jesus was born. Colors like red and green signifies the life, spirit and the beauty of nature reunited together. The said Tree is also symbolizes of Pagan rites that commemorate the ancient feast celebration of saturnalia. Giving gifts was already being practiced in this feast and eventually imbue in Christianity every December 25th as the birth of Jesus Christ the only Begotten son of God.
Its our choice...which one to believe and follow but for me Christmas tree symbolizes the birth of Jesus... we need to rejoice and be more giving and promote love every day for the life and love that we are having.

Christmas was a great time for kids ,but the true meaning seems to get away from the original teachings of the bible
